Her father abandoned her mother, and only cared for his 2nd wife. When she was 2 her mother died from AIDS. She lived with her father until he also died from AIDS when she was 6 years old. Her older sister paid her school fees through P7, with the help of her husbands work. However her sister's husband died in 2001 from a car accident and then she was not able to pay for Namutebi's school fees for secondary school. This is when she was introduced to Another Hope Children's Ministries. Aunt Ruth paid for S1 and S2 while she still lived with her sister. After that she came to live at Another Hope Children's Ministries. |
