PROJECT: Farming Project

 

BENEFICIARIES: HIV/AIDS orphaned children, street children and children from poor families under the custody of Another Hope Children's Ministry located in Wakiso District and the surrounding areas in Uganda.

OBJECTIVES:
Project aims at achieving the following objectives;
1. To provide a constant source of food to the children.
2. To improve the nutrition status of the children.
3. To provide life time skills of farming to the children
4. To provide employment to the people.

 

IMPLEMENTATION:
The funds will be managed by Another Hope Children's Ministry, Wakiso Uganda. The organization will closely monitor the progress of the farming project. The AHCM will also provide the technical and professional assistance needed to ensure the success and sustainability of the farming project.

This farming project will initially benefit 47 children. A group of ten older children out the forty seven children will be selected and be trained in farm management. The selected ten children will be responsible for managing the farm. A farm manager will be hired to manage the farm project and will report directly to project coordinator who will in turn report to the Executive Director of AHCM about the progress of the project on a regular basis. The Poultry Manager will be with a professional experience in farm management.

BENEFITS OF THE PROJECT TO THE COUNTRY:
This project will have the benefits below to the country;The project will contribute to eradication of illiteracy and poverty in the country, hence leading to development.
It will ensure continuous supply of food to Another Hope Children's Ministry.
The project will help in producing health children in the nation.
Provide employment opportunities to the local people

 

BUDGET:
The total fund needed is $20,533 and in Ugandan shillings the amount is 32,852,500. This of money will be enough for the project in the first 12 months. After the first 12 months the farm will start to generate enough food for the children and a surplus that will be sold so that the project will be able to sustain its self.
